COLONEL LOUIS S. LETELLIER SCHOLARSHIP

The Club

The Civil Engineers Club of Charleston, a non-profit organization, is dedicated to the association of civil engineers and those professionals engaged in the practice of civil engineering. The Club is sponsored by voluntary contributions from companies, organizations, and individuals who recognize the importance of continuing education and training in the field of civil engineering.

The Scholarship

The number of scholarships and the dollar amount for each will be determined by the Club, but each scholarship will be not more than $2500 per semester, and will not exceed $5000 per year.  These scholarships will assist and encourage qualified students to further or continue their interest in selecting civil engineering as a pending or continued career.

The award may be supplemented by contributions in any amount from other individuals or organizations. These other contributions will be administered by the Club. Payments will be made directly to the college or university at the beginning of each term to be credited to the college account of the recipient. Continuance of funds after the initial award will be contingent upon the recipient’s academic attainment for the previous semester. Recommendation for continuance will be made by the Scholarship Committee. The decision for continuance at each term will be made by a majority vote of members present at any regular meetings.
